Over the three-and-a-half years I lived in Thailand, I was fortunate enough to travel widely — China, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar — and have since also traveled extensively in India. All of these countries/cultures have offered beautiful and inspiring sacred spaces, rituals, and images. From Chinese zodiac symbols to Buddhist iconography, to the conventions of temple architecture, I’ve found no end of fascinating things to study and draw.
